About This Trek / Tour

Langtang Valley is Nepal's closest trekking destination to Kathmandu β€” yet it feels magnificently remote. Known as the "Valley of Glaciers," this U-shaped valley was carved by massive glaciers and is flanked by Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and a series of spectacular snow peaks along the Tibetan border.

The trek passes through traditional Tamang villages where the language, dress, and Buddhist monastery culture reflect deep Tibetan roots. The valley is famous for its yak cheese β€” stop at Kyanjin Gompa's cheese factory for a taste! The 2015 earthquake devastated parts of the Langtang village, and trekking here supports the rebuilt local communities.

Wildlife: Langtang National Park is home to red pandas, snow leopards, Himalayan black bears and over 300 bird species including the danphe (Himalayan Monal), Nepal's national bird.
